Built by an operator, not an agency

Vantage Works exists because the system it sells was built out of necessity first, and turned into a service second.

I'm Brad Bonnell. I run BB Carpentry, a licensed general contracting business in Cambridge, Ontario. A few years in, I hit the same wall most small business owners hit: the business had outgrown the spreadsheets and sticky notes, but I wasn't going to hire an office manager just to keep the back office from falling apart.

So I built the system myself — a project management platform connected to bookkeeping, connected to lead follow-up, connected to a real-time dashboard that shows me what's actually happening across every job, every day. It wasn't a side project. It was what let me keep running the business without drowning in admin.

BB Carpentry Inc. is a real, operating general contracting business in Cambridge, Ontario, running its own bookkeeping, lead follow-up, and job-tracking on the same kind of system Vantage Works builds for clients.

Why Vantage Works exists

Enough other business owners asked how I'd built it that it became obvious this wasn't a BB Carpentry-specific system — it was a pattern that works for any owner-operator running a business with more moving parts than time to manage them by hand.

Vantage Works is that same system, rebuilt and adapted for other businesses. It isn't a big agency with a sales team between you and the person doing the work — it's the same person who built and runs the original.

How I work

Direct, plain, no fluff. I'll tell you honestly if something isn't a good fit rather than sell you a build that won't actually solve the problem. First contact is always a real conversation about how your business runs today — never a pitch.
